American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

This is the national organization of child and adolescent psychiatrists, which usually means these doctors have completed both some years of an adult psychiatry residency and two years of child and adolescent fellowship. So child and adolescent psychiatry is a subspecialty of psychiatry. (Remember that psychiatrists are medical doctors with specialized training in the body and medications, as well as psychology and the brain.)
